TERMS OF SERVICE – INK AND NEEDLE PRINTING AND EMBROIDERY

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of products and services provided by Ink and Needle Printing and Embroidery ("we," "our," or "us"). By placing an order, you agree to the following terms:


1. Business Overview

Ink and Needle supplies Direct to Film (DTF) transfers for customers who wish to heat press them independently. We also offer custom printing and embroidery services, including garments for tradespeople, restaurants, and more.


2. Artwork Submission

  • All artwork must be submitted in PNG (transparent background), PDF, or Illustrator (AI) formats.

  • Minimum resolution: 300 DPI for best print quality.

  • You are responsible for ensuring your artwork meets these standards before submission.


3. Custom Orders

  • We accept custom orders for printing and embroidery. Once the artwork and quote are confirmed, production begins after a 50% deposit is received.

  • Final payment is due upon completion and before delivery/pickup.


4. DTF Transfer Orders

  • DTF transfers are supplied for customers to apply using their own heat press machines.

  • We are not responsible for the final result if transfers are not applied correctly or with appropriate heat/time/pressure.


5. Turnaround Time

  • DTF Transfers: Standard turnaround is 1–2 business days.

  • Custom Orders: Standard turnaround is 5–7 business days, depending on the job and garment availability.

  • Any changes to this will be confirmed before production begins.


6. Shipping

  • We ship within New Zealand.

  • Shipping is $10 NZD nationwide for orders under $100.

  • Free shipping applies to orders over $100.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier.


7. Payment Terms

  • We accept bank transfer, EFTPOS, and cash.

  • A 50% deposit is required for all custom orders before production begins.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before goods are shipped or picked up.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once production has started.

  • Due to the custom nature of our products, we do not offer refunds unless there is a defect or mistake on our part.


10. Returns and Defects

  • If your item is damaged or defective, contact us within 3 days of receiving your order.

  • Provide clear photos and a description of the issue.

  • We will assess the situation and offer a resolution, which may include a replacement or partial refund.


11. Intellectual Property

  • You confirm you have the right to use any design or logo submitted for printing.

  • We are not liable for any copyright or trademark infringement arising from the artwork you provide.


12. Product Variations

  • Slight variations in colour, placement, and sizing may occur. These are not considered defects.

  • All printed garments are manually handled, and variations may happen during the production process.


13. Minimum Order Requirements

  • There is no minimum order for DTF transfers.

  • Embroidery and bulk orders may have a minimum depending on the job. This will be discussed during quoting.


14. Customer-Supplied Garments

  • If you supply your own garments for printing or embroidery, we are not liable for any damage during the process.

  • We always recommend using garments supplied by us to ensure the best results.


15. Garment Care Instructions

  • For printed garments: Wash inside out in cold water. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry.

  • For embroidery: Gentle machine wash only. Do not iron over the embroidery.


16. Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays or failure to deliver products due to events beyond our control (natural disasters, strikes, etc.).


17. Changes to Terms

  • Ink and Needle reserves the right to update or change these Terms at any time without notice. Changes are effective immediately upon posting.
